Very good young adult novel.
From back cover: It looks like a dull summer at the beach for Barney--until he learns the chilling history of the house his family's renting. And the people next door are just as curious about it as he is. At first, Barney is falttered that Zena, Manny, and Joe want to spend so much time with him, and he's eager to join them in their favorite board game, Interstellar Pig, where rival aliens stop at nothing to destroy every other creature in the universe. Soon hi's addicted--but gradually he becomes suspicious. There's something truly weird about Zena, Manny, and Joe. They seem virtually obsessed with Barney's house. Are they thieves? Con artists? Or something even more sinister?
