Two siblings are excited to catch a leprechaun on the following day, which is St. Patrick's Day. They create treats and lay traps to catch the little Irish fae and get his pot of gold.
I like the ideas the children come up with decorating and setting up traps. For me growing up St. Patrick's Day was mostly a day for everyone to wear green and say they are Irish.
I am not sure how I feel about the way the story is told. It takes more than part of the title from The Night Before Christmas story. Part of me dislikes it for using it as a gimmick and the other part of me wishes I thought of it first. Sometimes the writing does not fit. In fact, when I was reading it sometimes I thought of different words that just seemed better to end sentences with than what was used.
I would read another from Natasha Wings Night Before Series as I said I like the ideas. I do think kids would like this one and is a fun way to introduce St. Patrick's Day.
