When CIA agent Fortune Redding let's her temper get the better of her, she not only blows her cover, she lands herself on the hit list of an arms dealer. The only way to protect her, is to go undercover in as a former beauty queen turned librarian in the small Louisiana town. But, the plan to go off the grid doesn't last long, when a human bone is dug up in her yard on the first day she arrives. Soon she is drawn into an investigation along with a group of old ladies who are full of secrets of their own. The reminds me of Stephanie Plum meets Miss Congeniality, but while there are some high points, it's not as funny as either of them. I enjoyed it enough to read the next book in the series, but overall it's not my favorite cozy mystery.
