I read a lot of fluff. It's what I like but about every 20 - 30 books I read something and think, "Wow, that was really good!" And that is what happened when I read this book. I loved the characters, the setting and the story in general. A.J. was cynical, sardonic and somewhat bitter but as the story progressed a small child changed him and you get to share that transformation which had great appeal to me. There was a little bit of romance, a little bit of mystery, a lot about books and friendships with a little sadness thrown in. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.
