I enjoyed this book and the unusual family dynamics. With a couple of engineers in my family, I'm a bit touchy about the term autism, as it seems to be a bit widely used. With that said, I loved Maxom and the fact that, yes, there are women who love that type of mind and quirky social temperament. I do think the ending seemed rushed, still, a strong first novel
