Unless you are a cookie-cutter pagan in love with ritual and just starting out with absolutely no idea what paganism is in it's most minimalist form then you should avoid this book. Somewhere (I can't remember where since I returned my copy to Borders) this book says it is for the well-read pagan. No, it isn't. More like the barely reads or has an opinion set. This is so dumbed down and basic that it makes my head hurt from the inanity of it. I'm really disappointed in Llewellyn whom I go to for my calendars and other witchy stuff. There are two articles devoted to how paganism borrowed from Christianity but, really, one gets more fact and 'history' from reading The Davinci Code! The article on vegetarianism is just as trite. I just can't stand articles that are more filler than substance. No, if you are a well-read pagan (or well-read person of any denomination) then you will be truly bored by this book. I recommend the 2011 Magical Almanac or the Sabbats Almanac instead because they at least tell you something new and don't treat you like a dumb***.
