I was so glad that Poppy, the preacher's wife was portrayed as a real person with real feelings, thoughts, faults, cares, ideas, failings and such. Poppy's Hubby decided to become a preacher and she was not sure what she would make of herself or what a Preacher's wife was supposed to be. Little by little she begins to open up to some friends and female parishioners who all try to help in whatever way they can. Then there is a small interfaith contest sort of going on which makes things a bit testy. But it all comes away better than expected. Many taking comfort in that special joy that God sends to all his believers. This is a sweet Christian read a bit on the realistic part of beginning as a preacher and a preacher's wife. Give it a try
