Good read. The heroine, Melissa, is a human rescued by a vampire from an abusive stepfather who was on the verge of raping her when she was 14. As an adult, she is still terrified of him. And now he is back and stalking her... The hero, Duncan, is a vampire who is drawn in by her fears. First he offers just to listen but as time passes they become more than friends. [Unlike the average erotic novel - they don't actually make it all the way until after page 100.] They both have serious self-esteem issues...

Although primarily a relationship book, there's lots of action in the stalker plot. The characters are well developed - only the wicked stepfather is stereotypically slime. Good resolution - a nice HEA.

I haven't read the first two books and I had no trouble following - so I'm guessing order is not particularly important.
