Maple Frosted Murder is the second installment in the A Donut Hole Cozy Mystery novella series. Main character Heather Janke owns a gourmet doughnut shop, Donut Delights in the small town of Hillside, Texas.

Stan Dombrowski owns a rival doughnut franchise in town and is constantly harassing Heather, blaming her for his failing business, calling in health code violations and appearing in her shop calling her, her employees and her product names. After a very public argument in her shop, Stan is found dead stuffed in his chest freezer, knowing she didn't kill the man Heather feels compelled to find the real killer.

Once again with the help of her best friend, Amy and hunky detective Ryan Shepherd, Heather soon learns that there were plenty of people who didn't like the abrasive man including his wife, his accountant and his employee.

A very quick read (perfect for an hour of reading before bed) with fun, likeable characters. A relationship is developing between Heather and the detective, and readers will want to stay tuned to see what happens next between the two. The doughnut descriptions will have you craving a sweet treat!
