Have you ever fallen in love with a cover? I sure have! And this new one by Amanda Cabot is a beautiful cover that I loved from the beginning. The lady on the front looks so regal and her dress is absolutely gorgeous! But the characters and the story inside were just as good as the cover.

The main character is Charlotte and Barrett, but there are many different characters who play a big part in the whole picture. I felt like Charlotte was a kindred spirit and the strength she possessed was something I can only strive for. Barrett was a good hero. Kind, charming, handsome and quite a politician. There is a part where I didn't like him, especially after the way he treated Charlotte at one point, but you see where he was coming from and how he was trying to protect her. You will fall in love with sweet Daniel and Rose, Gwen and Miriam, and even Harrison and Richard.

I found it quite interesting at the idea of fashion back then. The whole buying a dress from Paris, paying so much for a piece of clothing, etc. Charlotte's idea of making dresses for those who can't purchase them was a good extra. I found her idea of doing something that will help people an encouragement. We can do a lot of good in a community or in a family by helping out.

This is a book that brings you back to the 1800's and you will be immersed in the time period. Get the feel of walking down a dusty street and the time of robbers, old west, and a growing town with aspiring people. A story you will love!! Excellent plot and well written characters who jump out of the page at you!!

Available January 2013 at your favorite bookseller from Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group.
