What is with this author? I've tried really hard to like Duran but with the exception of Duke of Shadows, here's another one by her that I couldn't finish. Once again, her writing is too descriptive and I couldn't connect with either Gwen or Alex. I was intrigued that Gwen was twice jilted. I felt for sure this would make a great premise, but the story fizzled shortly after. It's not a good sign when I start to skim pages, and I completely lost interest. Enough's enough. No more by Duran.
