First story by Maggie Shayne: Yawn! Soo incredibly CORNY and predictable, I skipped the last three pages of it on my first read.
Second Story by Jeaniene Frost: Nice interaction between the characters... I've read in the other reviews that this is some sort of prelude to her series hero; will pick it up soon.
Third Story by Terry Garey: Hillbilly references were quite over the top, and the writing was stilted and 80's-ish. If this is the way she normally writes, I will give her books a big NO, thanks!
Fourth Story by Kathryn Smith: I will give Ms Smith the benefit of doubt, because all first timers deserve a second chance. The story was not quite there, it seemed to stop in mid-stride and fall off the mark; yet what little was there was intriguing enough. Do try again, please.I promise I will read your next book/novella/story, whatever you put out.
