I LOVED THIS! That said, as the other reviewer mentioned, it ISN'T like her other books. Don't expect it to be. It doesn't 'sound' like she wrote it. But DO expect it to have her humor and style. But in that, I see her brilliance/talent as a writer.
For me, I felt like I was sitting down with Clay while he was looking at a photo album and reminiscing about his past. It is not a typical novel; it is glimpses of his life growing up, a collection of memories. It helps you understand why Clay is the way he is and why Jeremy is the way he is. In the beginning of the book, we learn about Jeremy (why he is so different from the other werewolves). At the end of the book, you also get to see what Jeremy is becoming, as he figures out his origins.
Don't expect this to be a typical 'Women of the Otherworld' novel. It isn't. She never said it would be. Don't expect romance or lots of description. Remember she was writing it as if she was a male.
Also, I truly wouldn't start her series here. Go back to the beginning of the series and work your way up.
I read it in one afternoon, b/c of my inability to put it down. Hope you enjoy it as much!
