This is a book about betrayal, suicide and murder. Joe Thorne's sister, Annie, went missing. She was 8 years old. Joe has returned to his hometown as he got an email that said that things were happening again. Joe seems to know who did it. He needs to confront the shocking and horrifying truth about Arnill, his sister and himself. The worst moment was the day his sister came back. In my opinion, this book fell short. It's a psychological suspense thriller but has supernatural elements. I was let down by the ending. This book reminded me of Pet Sematary by Stephen King. I read the Chalk Man and I liked that one better.
