Contemporary Medical/ Legal tale by Jodi Picoult. I've been wanting try a book by this author, and as a Medical Social Worker, I was intrigued by this storyline: Parents of a terminally ill child successfully plan to have a child who is genetically compatible with their sick child. What would that child's life be like? Anna is expected to donate marrow, platelets..whatever her beloved older sister needs. Anna's whole life is defined by what she can do for her sister. This book is compelling, extremely well written, intriguing. I read it in one day. This is an incredible book. And, I hate it. It's going to be a long time before I am brave enough to read another by Picoult.
