Thirteenth in the Gideon Oliver series but no worries, you don't need to have read any of the previous to be at home in this one. Elkins provides enough backstory to get you familiar with Dr. Oliver and his wife, presently attending a conference in the Scilly Isles. Dr. Oliver is asked to examine bits of old bone washed up on the beaches when he finds something that isn't old at all. Here's a book where I feel the prologue gave away a lot of the suspense. Still enjoyable; I liked the lectures on anatomy.
