Babes, booze, butts (someone is always lighting up), bullets, and bodies galore (mostly bodacious babes that Mike Hammer has just boffed). Philip Marlowe and Sam Spade are kindergarten cops compared to Mike Hammer. This is the guy that wastes the baddie then steps on his face on the way out. Lots of action; no fluff, unless you count the gratuitous sex. Mindless, but entertaining reading.
