For myself, I thought the book was slow. Then again I am older. I thought this might be a good book for my daughter to read in a few years. I hope she enjoys the book. The overall story was good and the feelings that came across in the book made each person realistic except for maybe Dan. I don't have that much experience with 16 year old boys from small towns with jobs who weren't feeling high and mighty for having a job at 16.
