I just finished this book and had to rush to the computer to write a review! I loved it! The diary format was very easy to read and very fun to follow. Instead of droning on she often picked up one really good topic to expand upon. Reading went by very quickly - too quickly. I found myself reading aloud to my husband and anyone that would listen just so that they didn't question what I was laughing at all the time. Belle has a way with words and a mind like a steel trap. She is quick with the quips and an intellectual genius in human interactions. I could read anything she wrote and learn something. Even her profession became less of the stereotypical end of the line and more of a technical field, obviously much in demand despite how often we choose to ignore it. The ironic thing is that I picked this jewel up on my last trip to Amsterdam and now wouldn't mind becoming much more proficient in some of the areas Belle is a pro at. I'm sure my husband wouldn't mind either... I highly recommend this book. It's deliciously saucy and full of candor! I just found my new best friend!
