Book Review of Bandboxes: Tips, Tools, and Techniques for Learning the Craft (Heritage Crafts) (Heritage Crafts Today)

I found this book to be simple to follow and very detailed. There are plenty of step-by-step colored pictures to direct even a person who thinks they have no talent. You can be so creative with the bandboxes. The author shows you how to make different shaped boxes, tools necessary, patterns and a gallery of early bandboxes. Included are patters for not only the round or oval boxes but also A GLOVE BOX, A HEART BOX, A HEXAGON BOX [to store sewing supplies]and most unusual - A TEA CADDY [originally some tea caddy's had 3 compartments - the center for blending the crushed tea leaves]. Because this book is spiral-bound inside the hardcover, it easily lays flat while trying to follow directions.
