Bailey Weggins is true-crime journalist and works part-time for a celebrity magazine. A little bit miffed by her boy-friend, she accepts an invite from her office friend, Jessie, to a movie mogul's home.
Expecting a fun, relaxed weekend, Bailey is totally surprised when she discovers that super-model Devon Barr is there as well.
And more than surprised when Devon is found dead.
When certain facts come to life following her autopsy, Bailey is certain that Devon was murdered .... and she's hell bent on finding the truth.
There are a houseful of suspects .. including an old boyfriend, a man she may be having a fling with now... his wife ... her assistant who hates her ... and everyone seems to have a motive to kill.
And the closer she gets to the truth, the more danger she is in.
This is the 6th book in this series that features Bailey Weggins. Although I have read other books by this author, this series is new to me.
I really like Bailey ... she's independent and strong. She knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it. Plus she's got a terrific sense of humor. Her only drawback is that she's not entirely secure with her boyfriend. Granted, there are things in her past that have given her trust issues, but I really like Beau. He seems to 'get' her ... and he refuses to let her drive him away.
The who-dun-it part of the book was a good mystery ... not what I would call suspenseful. With so many wonderful suspects to choose from, it certainly kept me reading. And boy! was I surprised!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one .... I'm truly tempted to hunt down books 1 - 5 to see what I've missed.
