It has been quite some time since I last read a book in this genre and I'm not sure what prompted me to acquire this book. But having done so, I have to say I was rather surprised to discover that at least 90% of the book's 322 pages consisted of a detailed play-by-play description of two or more persons engaged in some form of sexual interaction. No question it would be impossible for any red-blooded male or female not to, very quickly, get caught up in the "sexy, pulse-pounding adventure...that will leave you weak in the knees", as one Best-Selling romance author describes it. Yet I cannot, for the life of me, imagine how anyone could read this book in even just a few sittings. Clearly somewhere in Laid Bare is a plot, simple and straight forward though it may be. But I guess that really doesn't matter since the real point of such a tale as this can only be to get the reader off. And that it does.
