Our title heroine seems to have misplaced her given name: throughout she is Mrs. Miniver, although in the next to last offering she is Caroline. The book is written as series of 4-5 page vignettes set in or about 1939 London. This new edition adds one last account of the era Mrs. Miniver Makes a List. Here is life as it was, a bit of nostalgia for us old folks. Youll enjoy this simple read, although some of the vocabulary might have you streaming for Webster or Johnson, as is a bit arcane or autochthonous to England.
