Huh. I'm going to be in the minority, I really didn't like this book.
****Spoiler****
Marc and Sophie both annoyed me by many of their actions. So, Marc kidnapping and holding a gun to Sophie's head is just fine because, well, he is a tortured hero convicted of a crime he didn't commit (to "protect" someone). Never mind the fact, this person wasn't asked and carried around guilt for what Marc did, and that by doing so he prevented the crimes from being found out sooner. What could have been prevented!?
Then there is the stupid shit Sophie does. Going from being proud of your career and wanting to be a well known journalist to just thinking about having Marc's babies. It gets better! Sophie deliberately (deliberately!) tries to get pregnant (and....shocker....she does!) while on the run, not knowing if you will survive, potentially serving jail time herself, the uncertainty and possibility of Marc going away (again) for life. Hello you idiot!
What I did like about this book, was the attention pain to issues affecting women in the US justice system. I think it did a good job at showing how easy it is to take away someone's voice.
****end spoiler****
Each book (for me) has gotten more annoying in this series (not the story- lines per say, but how the H/h act). I read chapter 1 (in this book) for book 4 (Naked Edge) and didn't care for it. At this point, I don't think I will bother.
