Truthfully, I didn't mean to pick up this book. I'd been checking several USB's and I'd seen the title at each one, so the fourth time it appeared, I decided somebody was trying to tell me something.
I didn't realize until well into it that three other books are in the series ahead of WHEN I FALL IN LOVE, so you can see that it isn't necessary to enjoy them in order.
If you once accept the basic premise that there are certain, rare places in the world that allow a person to slip between centuries, the plot is even logical, which isn't always the case with historical romances.
A fun romp.
Nicholas de Piaget is finished with demoiselles more interested in his riches than his heart. He is certain he'll spend the rest of his life in his leaky castle, watching others enjoy wedded bliss, until he stumbles upon a flame-haired maiden in distress. His honor demands that he help her return home if only his heart would allow it.
Jennifer McKinnon is convinced that there are no more knights in shining armor at least not in Manhattan.
