For those of you like me that live off of old M*A*S*H reruns you're probably every bit as interested in seeing how this new twist on the show would play out. Now for the most part it was a really good twist and I enjoyed it. For the most part. I'm a tough spot on where I stand with my feelings on this book. I enjoyed it, yes. But there were points in the story where it just seemed to just drag on and run around in circles a bit before moving forward, at time it was even a bit overwhelming; and even though I did enjoy this story I can't really see it as a series because it's actually quite nice as a one time stand alone book.

One thing that made it difficult for me to connect with this story was the heroine and her ways. A lot of the times she was whiny and selfish and wimpy. Not really a very strong individual. In a way one can understand her emotional basketcaseness during certain instances but others it's out of left filed and you kind of want the chick to just snap out of it and grow some balls. There were some strong characters which helped balance out the whole Petra character which helped.

It was really frustrating for me as a reader that the story and certain events drug on for so long, especially when I got towards the last five pages of the book and things still weren't coming around. Once they did come around it was pretty disappointing because it happened so fast. And though I can't really see how this could possibly be stretched out into a series I'm still willing to go into the second book, Immortally Embraced, and see what it has to offer because while I wasn't overly crazy about Immortally Yours I still enjoyed it enough to continue on with the series.Who knows, maybe it helps wrap up this book.
