An effort to rewrite the tragic history of Lady Jane Grey, the Nine Day Queen who "reigned" between Edward V and Queen Mary I.
"Rewrite," as in add fantasy, change characters, ignore history and add stupid jokes.
I thought this might be a bit of fun, making comic gold from tragedy, like the musical "Six!". Hoping that, just as "Six!" provides a cathartic alternative scenario for the six victims of serial monogamist and psychopath Henry VIII, to offer a a heart-warming and uplifting alternative history for lady Jane Grey, the 16-year-old victim of the political plotting of those who should have cared for her.
But no. Pointless fantasy that does nothing as a metaphor for the clash between Catholicism and Protestantism. Random characters who are neither amusing anachronistic nor historically accurate in any way. Stupid jokes. Abandoned.
