Book Review of The Confidante: The Untold Story of the Woman Who Helped Win WWII and Shape Modern America

reviewed on + 12 more book reviews

Fascinating true story of an influential woman second only to Eleanor Roosevelt in fame in her day, now largely forgotten. A woman whose work influenced all of our lives and who deserves to be remembered. Among other things, she was assistant Secretary of Defense to George Marshall during the Korean War, architect of the GI bill, and a leader on civil rights and labor reform.
