First in the culinary mystery series featuring restaurateur and caterer Heaven Lee, in which a woman is poisoned in her restaurant. That she was seen throwing a glass of wine on the woman and that she was there with Heaven's second ex-husband probably didn't do anything to remove suspicion from Heaven. When she finds her business threatened and her integrity in question, Heaven feels compelled to clear her name. A quick, easy read; the only downfall was the author's need to tell the history of every character and also the switching back and forth from the point of view of different characters. IMO, that mostly just distracts from the story. I did enjoy the recipes included (even copied a couple of them down) but I wish they'd have been at the end of the book rather than slapped right in the middle of the story.
