These were written in a style typical of French literature: the focus of the plot is on the internal feelings and thoughts of the character, not on external events happening around them. Both of these are good, though dark, stories. I had expected to prefer the first story ("Class Trip"), but instead was completely riveted by the second story ("The Mustache"). I had a hard time putting it down!
