This book really touched me in a way that I haven't felt in some time. All of the characters are so well developed, and the imagery is very powerful. Mara's unique take on life is so uplifting and you really feel Daniel's sadness and separation from the world. I really fell in love with Earl and Edith. I can't wait to find more of McLaren's work.
