Fans of any type of puzzle (and The Puzzler must cover close to them all!) will enjoy this book. Each chapter is devoted to a specific type of puzzle (crossword, jigsaw, chess, math, etc.), and covers the puzzles' histories as well as providing some examples for the reader to solve. The author meets with puzzle creators and enthusiasts, and attends puzzle conventions and contests. (His family represents the US in an international jigsaw puzzle competition). A.J. Jacobs is a witty writer and some of his one-liners are LOL funny.
