This is the fifth and final book in the Shadow Falls series. This book does a great job tying everything up in a way that I thought was well done. There are spoilers ahead for those who haven't read up to book 4 in this series.

Kylie decided in the last book to live with her chameleon grandfather in their secret compound in an effort to learn more about her powers. However, what she finds there is disturbing and she is constantly missing Shadow Falls. In Kylie's opinion the chameleons can't remain hidden forever and Mario needs to be dealt with once and for all. In addition to all these issues Kylie is being haunting by a disturbingly violent female ghost with a large sword and Kylie is still very concerned about her mom's new boyfriend.

This book pretty much answers all the questions that arose in the series and ties things up neatly and nicely. There are some questions that are still unanswered at the end but those are mainly dealing with some of the side characters (Della mainly).

The book is well written and flows well, it makes for a very engaging and easy read. I enjoyed this whole series a lot and am happy with where it ended. I do know that there are three books in a spin-off series featuring Miranda and Della.

Overall this was a well done series and I enjoyed it. It is a very typical and well written YA paranormal series and, while it didn't blow me away with it's awesomeness, it did fit my need for a good YA paranormal series and was engaging. I probably won't read the spin-off series because I just have too much to read right now and I am not dying to read more about these characters or this world right now...I am happy with how things ended. I would recommend to those looking for a good paranormal YA read.
