Americas Next Top Model Fierce Guide to Life: The Ultimate Source of Beauty, Fashion, and Model Behavior is exactly what the title says. It is a handbook filled with the ins and outs of the modeling business, as well as tips and tricks on beauty and fashion. It provides a quick history on modeling and some of the major designers and fashion photographers that all wannabe models should know. ANTM Guide to Life also offers basic beauty tips, along with fashion tips on how to accentuate what you have.
I was not very impressed by this book. It was okay, but it could have been more in depth. Plus, I found it to be very contradictory throughout the book. At times it would tell you to be yourself and be proud of what you had. At other times, however, it would teach you how to cover up your imperfections. I was also turned off by how often the book mentioned that you needed to watch your weight and be skinny. It didnt present a healthy image to young girls. Overall, I wasnt very impressed. If you are interested in a modeling career you might want to take a look at this, but otherwise, Id leave it on the shelf at your bookstore.
