Hex in High Heels is the fourth installment in Linda Wisdom's witch series. Centuries ago, thirteen witches were banished from the academy because they wouldn't give up the one who performed an illegal spell. Now, they still still keep in touch with each other, even as their banishment seems to never end.
Blair Fitzpatrick runs a vintage shop and sells revenge spells on the side. She's had a crush on the town carpenter, Jake Harrison, for ages. Jake's a Were who turns into a cute and cuddly border collie who occasionally sleeps on Blair's bed. She'd prefer it if he were in bed with her, but something keeps Jake from getting too close to her.
Jake thinks Blair may just be his mate, but knows it's nigh on impossible as they are two different species. She's a witch and he's not! But it doesn't stop the sparks flying whenever the two are near. He's running out of excuses for pushing Blair away and he wants her just as bad as she wants him.
But another force arrives in town that soon has Blair's hands full. With the Winter Carnival coming up soon, a busload of elves arrive to help. They're drunks, slobs, and perverted. Meanwhile, Jake's mom arrives and is determined to get Jake to heel and return to the Pack. Blair is just about to explode and everyone in her way are in danger of her revenge spells. Sassy, witty, and chaotic with a splash of romance and humor turn Hex in High Heels into a perfect treat! I'm looking forward to the rest of this entertaining and magical series.
