I read "The High Sheriff of Huntingdon" by Anne Stuart.

Alistair Darcourt, the High Sheriff of Huntingdon, married Elspeth of Gaveland by proxy to get his hands on a piece of land. He didn't want a wife, just the land that was part of her dowry. But his convent-bred wife is not the quiet demure woman that he expected. She is fiery and feisty, not afraid to say what's on her mind. She intrigues her new husband.

This novella has Anne Stuart's usual bad boy hero, and his innocent bride who brings out the good in him. No surprises here. My rating: 3.5 Stars.
