Good book. I was nearly halfway through before I guessed that this was Young Adult fiction. I checked the back and it calls it Juvenile fiction. I think it would be fine for kids. A bit scary a time or two. Worthwhile reading for adults, too. Very clean, but nothing at all "Christian" about it. Not sure why Lifeway was selling it and not sure why Thomas Nelson published it. Maybe that will become clearer in later books in the series. This one ended with a real cliffhanger, so I'm compelled to keep reading.
