I wish I could give this book negative stars because that's what it deserves. I don't even know where to begin. The book opens with Christy being followed by a serial killer. As she's running to her cabin, she comes across a wounded girl on the beach. When she stops the guy gets closer, so she takes off to get "help". She arrives back at her cabin and spends the next 15 pages hanging out casually waiting for the police. She chats with her neighbors and a family member who happens to live nearby. In no way does she even consider going back to check on the girl. When the police finally arrive she nonchalantly shows them where the girl is. Even if I thought I were in danger, I would have made some sort of effort to help a wounded person. Christy is the most selfish character I have ever read. There are several other instances where she demonstrates this, but I will spare you. The book abruptly ends with a unrealistic twist. I wish I could get the time back I wasted reading this piece of crap.
