Thoroughly enjoyable!

I gave it a 4.5 stars (it's rally a 5 star for shear enjoyment, but not a knockout in terms of a murder mystery book. The murder mystery is more of an adjunct to tell more (fun) stories about Monk and his world (and more importantly, the world of his assistant Natalie!)

My 1st "MONK" book. I found this to be a very easy and 'fun' read. Not at all what I expected (i.e. a murder mystery where you were to figure out who done it).

The story is told from his assistant Natalie's POV and is quite humorous and enlightening! Provides some insight into what drives Monk with his OCD and the pitfalls that his assistant has as she continuously has to run 'interference' on behalf of Monk in his 'routine' dealings with the people around him.

I've never watched any of the TV shows but knew of the main character (Adrian Monk) and his ability (detective) as well as his problem with dealing with everyday life.

Highly recommend this book (as well as the other Monk titles). Found it to be fun, highly enjoyable, and full of humorous (personal) details as well as - of course, numerous murders occurring around the wonderful MONK.

Enjoy it - I did!
