If you want a story that will cover everything about the Regency period in England, this is the ticket. You will read about the aristocracy and what happens when it meets with the people in 'trade'. It covers life in 'town' and life in the 'country'. Also, you will learn a little about the military as the hero was in the military and also, what happens when Napoleon is defeated at Waterloo. On top of that it is a pretty good story with likable and unlikable characters. Most of the characters in this story remind of characters in other 'Heyer' stories. She uses them as arch-typical of that period. Good story. Recommend.
