Great short stories (only a page long) about Oregon from around the time of the Oregon Trail. My favorite was about the Wreck of the Peter Iredale, just north of what is today, Seaside. I have seen the remaining wreckage of that ship, mostly covered by sand. It was interesting to read the story after seeing the Peter Iredale last summer. This charming children's book is esp. fun if you are familiar with Oregon.
