The excitement vibrates off the pages of A Bleu Streak Christmas in a big way. I just love this story! Though the book only covers a couple of weeks, it's amazing how much living the Bleu "family" crams into that short amount of time.
The characters are wonderful and full of personality. Energy seems to pulsate from them into the mind of the reader. Mave and Izzy are the hero and heroine--not just to each other. Both are magnanimous toward all the family members and beyond. Mave, in particular, reaches out to not only his fans, but to community members at large. He is a very giving person and a huge prankster.
Since Bleu Streak is a band, this book is filled with numerous characters, who are a little bit hard to keep up with---band members, family members, managers, bodyguards and drivers. But all in all, they are a wonderful group of people. If you like reading books that include the whole family, this one should be one you read. I actually read the book twice to make sure I didn't miss anything and had everyone straight in my mind. It might have been helpful, if I'd read the first book in the series before I read this second book.
This is a fun, contemporary, Christmas novel. I especially love how the characters openly live their lives for Christ, striving to be the person He calls them to be.
