It was an okay read, but I had a hard time accepting the relationship between the partners. Assuming the blond one had not had any homoerotic feelings for Nick, his use of the term "babe" seemed wildly unlikely. And I doubt they would have acted like that in private unless... So why keep insisting it was all part of the undercover act? (I understand why it was set in the early 1980's, since there's nary a mention of condoms or safe sex, and AIDs was just a slight shadow in the future for gay men.)
