I absolutely love this book. My husband wanted me to list this on my bookshelf to give away but I said no way. I've planned 3 parties using the ideas from this book. The Pirate party was a success for my then 5 year old son and the whole family really enjoyed planning it. We had an upside down, backwards party for my then 8 year old daughter and it was the talk of the class that year. We've also done the creative artist party. That worked, too, but...I'm not gifted in that department so I enlisted help there.
The handy part of this book is that it helps you be creative with everything from invitations to crafts, games, decorations and food. There are 23 parties listed. You can "steal" ideas from some of the other parties and tweak them to fit your own.
Just so you know, I am not in the least bit creative on my own when it comes to this sort of stuff. Everything I do with my kids parties (and there are five kids) I've picked up from other sources. This book is an excellent source if you want to give your child a home party that they'll remember years from now.
