When her guardian, Oliver Prewitt, tries to force her into marrying his nitwit son to keep her fortune in his family, Caroline Trent knows it's time to disappear. With only six weeks until her 21st birthday, Caroline runs away from Prewitt's home and find herself captured by Blake Ravenscroft. Blake is a secret agent for the crown. He knows Prewitt is smuggling secrets to Napoleon and believes Caroline is a notorious spy named Carlotta De Leon. Caroline is just happy to get away from her guardian and hopes she can keep Blake busy for six weeks until her birthday.
This was a light historical romance. It has snappy dialogue and amusing situations. The plot if is very simple and moves along quickly. Quinn adds some very funny secondary characters. My favorite was Blake's outspoken Butler, Perriwick. If you like a quick amusing romance, this is the book for you. My rating: 4 Stars.
