Book Review of What Rose Forgot

What Rose Forgot

An entertaining read with a little tension, a little humor, and serious issues about elder abuse and neglect there but glossed over. Rose is quirky and interesting, I mostly liked her. The murder plot is also interesting, although the way Rose brings it to light is pretty far-fetched. You'll want to read this one with tongue in cheek I expect, and don't try to apply too much common sense. In fact, I started thinking about halfway through that this could be adapted into a pretty good comedy film and my mental picture of Rose morphed into Lily Tomlin. I expected the rationale behind Rose's predicament to be something entirely different. A nice change of pace from Barr even though I prefer Anna Pigeon.
