This is an early entry into the time travel romance category and a very good one. The heroine, from modern times is very much a sad sack kind of character and it's a bit unbelievable that any woman would allow theirself to be so put upon by others but..... the time travel and romance aspects of the story really shine once it gets going. I read it many years ago and then re-read it recently and enjoyed it quite a lot.
