Some of the "facts" stated in this book are inaccurate more than once but it may be because of the translation. It was very interesting to read about customs and a culture so radically different from that of my own in the United States. Bending to the absolute power of a monarch is unheard of to me, and that is what kept me reading to the end. Totally strange to think that one person can have such power over people, enough to imprison an entire family in inhumane conditions for as long as these unfortunate people were incarcerated. D.
