A book of English jokes and puns written for Germans. At the beginning of the book are several pages in German that appear to explain and dissect the jokes and puns. The book provides samples of joke/pun types, as in: insinuations, misunderstandings, exaggeration, etc. Here are a couple of sample jokes:
>>Customer: I want to try on that suit in the window.
>>Salesman: Sorry, Sir, but you'll have to use the dressing-room.
A sample of insinuation:
"A man calls himself a bachelor before he gets married. Then you ought to hear what he calls himself."
Great book for those unfamiliar with humor in the American or English culture.
