This is my first Stephen King novel in a number of years. Early in his career, I read everything he wrote and have several first editions of his novels.
This is a most unusual King novel. I was asked about it by a young woman in a restaurant while I was reading and eating dinner one night. I told her it was a love story and she scrunched up her face as if she wouldn't like reading something like that. I then told her it had a Stephen King twist to it and her face brightened. It is a love story, but it's a little haunted, and has Mr. King's famed real life characterization. An enjoyable read, but not a horror novel.
